Who am I
Kelvin was born and raised in the Aldershot community having attended Fairfield, Maplehurst and Aldershot High School before graduating from Brock University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He currently lives in Aldershot with his family of 6 children and of his siblings and extended family all live in Burlington and the surrounding area. Kelvin has served his community since his election in 2018 and is passionate about Ward 1 having lived and worked in Aldershot for most of his working life. He has owned and operated The Fitness Firm Inc since 1998 on Plains Road West in addition to a property holding company. He was named the Deputy Mayor of Red Tape, Red Carpet and Business this past term due to his passion for business and the success of the local business community in Burlington. Ward 1 is experiencing some transition and Kelvin wants to be able to continue his work with his community to bring their voices to the forefront of local discussions.

Why am I running for re-election?
I am very thankful to you, my constituents for supporting me to serve you for the past term of council. We accomplished many great initiatives in the City of Burlington but have much more work to do. Ward 1 is one of the busiest wards in the city with many great features such as:​

WARD 1
Second term accomplishments
Assisted in re-shaping the Ward 1 boundary to better align constituents to the natural boundaries
Participated in the merger of Tourism Burlington into Burlington Economic Development and Tourism
Reducing Red Tape and permit timelines through working with staff on AI solutions
Investments in Tyandaga golf course and maintaining an 18 hole game
Advocate for investments in safe Bike lanes and completion of Phase 1 on Plains Road
Completion of the Aldershot GO Station plans (MTSA)
Implementation of several safe street measures to slow vehicles and improve safety
Working with major investors on potential community and entertainment facilities
New parkland investments and renewals throughout Ward 1
Aldershot’s first Farmers market and food park within the community
Free Transit for seniors and youth
Smart development - working with several developers to keep the community interests in mind - better retail, more green space and compatibility with neighbourhoods
