• Park Avenue & Tyandaga Park Drive: Both roads were fully rebuilt with new sidewalks, lighting, and water systems.

• Plains Road: Added Burlington’s first protected bike intersections and improved transit stops. More upgrades are planned to reduce congestion.

• Kerncliff Park to Tyandaga Trail: New 2km trail connecting parks and the golf course, opening up more green space.

• Tree Canopy: New by-laws protect trees on public and private land. Programs aim to plant 10,000 new trees a year and maintain large trees. Ward 1 already exceeds the city’s tree canopy target.
